FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is Large Format Printing?

Large format printers are computer-controlled printers that are capable of printing out creations on huge print rolls for items such as posters, banners, architectural blueprints and things of that nature. This method is usually applied to materials for events including sports, industries, concerts and theatrical productions.

How Fast Can You Print My Project?

It depends on the size and scope of the printing job. However, you can rest assured, our expert printers operate with cutting-edge technology, which supports our commitment to getting your job done as fast and proficiently as possible.

What Resolution Should I Save My Photos and Graphics?

Your resolutions need to be adjusted to 300 dpi, so your pictures and graphics will not become distorted, resulting in a blurry or grainy appearance. Photos and images retrieved from the internet are basically 72 dpi or 96 dpi, the quality of these are low resolution, so they should be rejected. For us to reproduce superior printing of your images and photos, you need to make sure to save them in the CMYK manner and not in the RGB mode. The reason is the RGB mode is more suitable for the accurate color of computer and video related items, while the CMYK is better for printing.

Is White Considered a Printing Color?

No, the color white is not considered a printing color. It is the common color of paper, which puts it in the category of lacking the hue to show up against a white background. However, when you want to use any colorful shades of paper, white ink can be applied for writing and images if necessary.

What is a Proof and Why is it Important That I Look at it?

A proof is a sample view of what you plan to print. It is crucial for you to check the proof for potential errors in the coloring, alignment, typos and anything else that is not up to par. Surveying a printer’s proof will help us get your project done without the hassle of wasting your time having to repeat the process.

Why Would the Printed Colors Look Different from the Colors on My Computer?

The colors are different because monitors use an RGB color system (red, green, blue), while printers use a CMYK color system (cyan, magenta, yellow, black). The RGB used by monitors encourages a larger range of colors than the CMYK for printers, it can render 85 - 90 percent of the RGB color model depending on the type of printer. Overall, if a color is not in the scope of the CMYK model, the application will try to match it with the closest color in its spectrum using our Pantone matching system.
